Rollmark had the pleasure of printing something a bit different recently!
As part of the History of Hockham event held between 10th-11th October 2026, Hockham resident Chris Garrrod approached us with the interesting idea of producing a 5 meter long timeline of the history of the village from 1066-2026. The community came together and with the help of Emily Brownlow who designed the artwork, a very unique and special project was formed.
When Rollmark were tasked with printing this extraordinary item, we had the idea of printing it on canvas material rather than just paper, making it Hockham’s very own version of the Bayeax Tapestry currently on display in London! We have never attempted such a large canvas printing before but we were thrilled with how our large format machine handled the material and we got a detailed, sharp, giclée print using light fast inks. Another resident did a great job in constructing a wooden frame for it and we are very proud to see the finished piece on display in The Holy Trinity Church in Great Hockham spanning the entire width of the church!
It was a joy to be part of this special project and we hope it will be enjoyed by generations to come. If any local heritage groups would like to undertake a similar project, we would be happy to be involved with the printing. Likewise, any local artists who would like limited edition giclée prints of their artwork, please do get in touch.
